Participation and attendance at Metamaterials 3.1 will require online registration. The registration system is open.
Prior registering, please make sure you fulfil all the covid-19 in effect in Calabria, Italy (see below). The conference management will only accept participants fulfiling these conditions. Please note that long trousers are required for gentlemen during dinner.

The registration fees for the meeting include:
– Welcome reception on Monday 1 August 2022, beginning from 19:00.
– Admission to all technical sessions of the symposium.
– Coffee breaks as mentioned in the programme.
– Printed and online programme. See http://www.third-generation-metamaterials.org/program/
– Online technical digest gathering the 1-page summaries. A login and password will be given to access it.
– Conference dinner and the “Hetty and the Jazzato Band” concert to take place on Thursday evening 4 August 2022.
The conference dinner for the accompanying persons is not included. Those wishing to attend are cordially invited to reserve it directly at the hotel. Supplement to be paid per guest: Euro 32,-.
Full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner) is included in the reservations done at the Grand Hotel San Michele through the European Physical Society. Drinks (water and 1/4 liter of wine per person) are also included. Long trousers are required for gentlemen during dinner.
Transportation tickets are excluded.
No on-site registration is scheduled. The EPS desk will welcome the participants beginning from Monday 1 August 2022 from 18:00 to 19:00.

Optional Mini Cruise on Friday 5 August 2022
An optional mini cruise to Aeolian Islands is proposed. The Aeolian Islands, sometimes referred to as the Lipari Islands or Lipari group after their largest island, are a volcanic archipelago in the Tyrrhenian Sea North of Sicily, named after the demigod of the winds Aeolus. The islands’ inhabitants are known as Aeolians.
Symposium participants have the opportunity to join the mini cruise to the Aeolian Islands (Stromboli – Lipari – Vulcano). Special prices to visit these three stunningly beautiful aeolian islands (https://www.tropea-isole-eolie-comerci.it/en/) were negotiated. Those wishing to attend the excursion, need to extend their stay at the Grand Hotel S. Michele by one night and plan to leave on Saturday August 6th, 2022. Excursion time schedule: Departure from Hotel (5am, Friday 5 August 2022) – Return to the Hotel (8pm). Cost: Euro 100 per person, Euro 75 per Child < 12 years old. The mini cruise will depart August 5th at 7am from Vibo Marina. A small town 100 Km South of Cetraro. The excursion required registration in advance using the online registration system. No onsite registration.

Conference Terms and conditions
Metamaterials 3.1 is an invitation-only scientific workshop, only pre-invited participants can attend the meeting.
All registration fees are net prices exempt from Value Added Tax.
The European Physical Society is a French registered association for non profit and is not liable to VAT. For this reason the Society does not possess a VAT number.
Entrance, Refund and Cancellation Policy
An administration charge of euro 50,- will be made for processing refunds. A request for cancellation must be made in writing (email@example.com). In case of cancellation, requests received on or before 22 July 2022 will be refunded (less the administration charge). No refunds will be available if notice of cancellation is received after 22 July 2022. The same rule applies for erroneous payments.
Prior registering for the meeting, please check that you fulfil all the Covid-rules in effect. See also below. The conference management will bear no liability in case the participant does not fulfill them and must refuse entrance to a participant who does not fulfil the Covid-rules in effect at the conference venue. No refund can be done in this case.
When registering online for an EPS conference, the participant accepts to be contacted by the European Physical Society in order to further communicate on the development of the conference and its future editions.
The data of the participant will never be communicated to a third party unless the society is a partner of the organised event. The data of the participant will never be given to commercial companies. If desired, unsubscription can be done at any time.
Attendance at, or participation in, the conference constitutes consent to the use and distribution by EPS of the attendee’s image for informational, publicity, promotional and/or reporting purposes in print or electronic communications media.
Video recording by participants and other attendees during the conference is not allowed.
Photographs of copyrighted PowerPoint or other slides are for personal use only and are not to be reproduced or distributed.

Effective from May 1, 2022, it is no longer mandatory to show a Green Pass to access businesses and services in Italy. Therefore, free access to local and national public transportation, bars and restaurants, shops, museums, theaters, cinemas, stadiums, gyms, spas, etc. However, a Green Pass is still mandatory to enter Italy from a foreign country.
The use of FFP2 masks remains mandatory in the following locations:
- ships and ferries used for interregional transport services
- High Speed, Intercity, Intercity Night, and Interregional Trains
- buses connecting more than two regions
- buses/coaches used for chartered services with driver
- local and regional public transport
- indoor performances in theatres, cinemas, concert halls, entertainment venues and live music
- indoor sports events
However, the use of the mask in all indoor environments and in all cases of crowded outdoor eventsis highly recommended.
